Weed Killer

I’m always looking for ways to make my house more baby friendly and safer for my kids (full rant here). But while we all know round up and all those chemical weed killers/insect killers are terrible for us – and cancer causing – there aren’t often a lot of alternatives if you want your house not to be the scary looking/bug infested place on the street.

Long story short, our front walkway got completely overrun by weeds despite us doing our best to keep up with pulling them out all the time. But we finally found a solution that works! Check out this sweet before and after I took!

And while you might be looking for an ad or the sponsored product here there is none – no money making schemes or substitute products that you’ll have to go out and buy – just a safe, eco-friendly, waste free solution that seems to be working for us!

Instructions:

Boil an even ratio of salt and water, add half of what you used for water of vinegar and let it cool.

Then pour it or spray it over the areas you don’t want growth (note this will probably kill any plants so don’t use it in your garden).

That’s it.

So far it’s been over a month and a half with nothing even starting to sprout.

Now while I try to encourage the kids not to lick the bricks, at least I know I haven’t injected them with poison if they do.
