So we’ve really had a blast coming up with all these Very Hungry Caterpillar activities this week, but it’s time to start something new! We’ll keep our mini bulletin board up to remember our fun for the time being though. In case your kids are really into the “CATERPILLAR!!!” the way mine are I thought I’d share a few of our cool Hungry Caterpillar toys! Click any of the pictures to get your own or learn more!

For little babies we started off with The Very Hungry Caterpillar first words book – a great way to start them off if they don’t have the attention for the whole book yet! Plus it was a nice way for our younger one to follow along while their big sibling read with Mom or Dad!

We also had this really adorable hungry caterpillar teether toy. We used it often attached to the car seat bar when the little ones were still in the infant carrier seats. Lately its been a great resturant toy as we can attach it to their high chair and not worry about it getting thrown around. Plus they love the bright colors! It’s interesting to see each of their personalities in what they like about it too – one loved the teether part, one loved the crinkly part and one loved looking in the mirror the best!

My daughter also got this soft book/friend version for her birthday which she sleeps with every night now that she’s old enough! It has become sort of a pillow, lovey, goodnight book/friend.

I also love the nesting blocks! Unfortunately I left my set at work before I went out on Maternity Leave (when I still thought I was going back!) so we don’t have them anymore but they are so much fun to build with and great for problem solving skills!

Thanks for following along with us during our theme week! Keeping to one theme really was a great way to keep me on track in doing some new activities with the kids and great for their learning & love of reading! I’ve got a couple ideas for what we will do next but for now we’ll just enjoy the weekend!
